THE LUXEMBOURG PAVILION

The Luxembourg Pavilion was designed according to the principles of circularity by the Luxembourgish architectural firm STDM. It was “designed for disassembly”, with a focus on refusing and reducing its building components. Together we aim to make the circular economy a reality!

The scenography of the Pavilion, developed by the scenography studio “jangled nerves”, consists of three acts, which are connected by the overlying, vibrant leitmotif “Doki Doki – The Luxembourg Heartbeat”. The aim is to offer an unforgettable visitor experience. In Japan, “Doki Doki” is the term for the sound of a beating heart, filled with excitement and joy. Doesn’t that spark curiosity?

 

Together with a compelling lighting and an intriguing sound, visitors will experience the Luxembourg Heartbeat, immerse themselves and become truly part of the experience. There`s much to discover…

Designing Future Society For Our Lives

Under the official Expo theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, Expo 2025 Osaka represents an opportunity for Luxembourg to position itself as a reliable partner to face upcoming global challenges.

Focusing on creating a society that helps people live better lives, this World Expo aims to be the endeavor to give a realistic picture of a future society, and the concept of “People’s Living Lab” serves as a guideline for the international participants to implement the official theme.

From April 13 – October 13, 2025, a total of around 28 million visitors, 160 participating countries, and 9 international organizations are expected to attend Expo 2025 Osaka.

The State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg via the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defense, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade joined forces with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce to ensure a strong presence at Expo 2025 Osaka.

Their partnership is consolidated in the GIE Luxembourg @ Expo 2025 Osaka which implements Luxembourg’s participation at the upcoming World Expo in Japan.
